We are currently recruiting a Commercial Administrator to join our dedicated team in our West Thurrock office.

Due to planned growth for the foreseeable future, we have an opportunity for a Commercial Administrator who is looking for a career in the construction industry.

This is an ideal role for someone who is looking to broaden their experience and offers an excellent opportunity for career progression.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handling, billing, and control of work record sheets
  • Supporting the quantity surveyors in dealing with customer queries and cash collection
  • Preparing applications for payment and submission (with supporting documents) to the client as per the contract timetable
  • Client liaison
  • Assisting with the production of mid and end-of-month reports.
  • Document control

This Commercial Administrator role would suit candidates with experience or enthusiasm for gaining skills in reporting, document control, customer service, billing, and as an administrator.

Essential Skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deal professionally with people at all levels and a customer-focused approach to all tasks undertaken.
  • Ability to prioritise workload to ensure delivery is achieved within the set timescales.
  • Computer literate with the ability to learn new software packages quickly.
  • Plenty of initiative and an innovative approach to problem-solving with strong attention to detail.
  • Have an open-minded approach to problem-solving and be able to comfortably fit into a team working environment.
